  • Fr. Gregory Parrott Mass

The vision of the Second Vatican Council states that vocations are part of the shared responsibility of all God's people in building community and working together for effective mission as Church.

Therefore, in collaboration with all God's faithful people, the Vocations Office, while concerned with all four Christian vocations--married life, single life, sister, priesthood and consecrated life--focuses primarily on:

(1) recruitment to the priesthood and consecrated life;

(2) awareness-building of these religious vocations; and

(3) education regarding these religious vocations.

"Let yourself be summoned by the love of Christ, recognize his voice which rings in the temple of your heart.

Have no fear of the fact that the response he requires is radical because Jesus, who first loved you,

is ready to give what he asks of you. If he asks much it is because he knows that you can give much."

--Pope John Paul II

In June, 2008 Bishop Bernard Harrington was blessed to ordain FOUR new members of the Presbyterate for the Diocese of Winona: Father Will Thompson, Father Thomas Niehaus, Father Jeffrey Dobbs, and Father Ubaldo Roque Huerta.  Click here for more.
