MANKATO — Kyle Jaeger is looking for someone who will talk about God.
Wearing a goatee and a book bag, he looks very much like the thousands of other young people milling about the student union at Minnesota State University. But the small illustrated copy of the “Lives of the Saints” tucked in his palm sets him distinctly apart.
Jaeger is not a student. He’s a Catholic missionary.
Tim Biren is a father. His children play an important role in his life and he enjoys watching them grow. Unlike the average father, however, Biren is a priest at St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center and his "children" are the students of Minnesota State.
The Newman Center has existed on campus for nearly 100 years. The magazine will be aimed at center alumni and benefactos of the campus and, as of now, will be published once a semester.
