At the beginning of January, 111 students from MNSU traveled with us to go to SEEK 2019 a conference hosted by the Fellowship of Catholic University (FOCUS) in Indianapolis. 

"So before even going to SEEK I was hesitant. Was I sure I wanted to go or should I just stay and work the rest of the break? I ended up going and boy did that experience change my life. Saturday night, with adoration, Sarah Swafford’s talk, and Fr. Mike’s talk in a particular way really opened my eyes. I could hear Jesus saying to me, "this is why you are here". Sarah Swafford talked about how society’s idea of perfect and Jesus’s idea of perfect are two totally different things. Jesus made you perfect in His eyes and no one else can tell you different. Fr. Mike talked about how people run to Jesus only when there are problems in their lives and that Jesus isn’t going to smooth out every problem before you reach it. Then adoration, that night was so powerful. Seeing everyone praising Jesus was just truly amazing. My heart was so full on that day, I have never been the same since I came back from seek. I go to the Newman center every chance I get and I am diving deeper into prayer. Which is kind of scary for me because I never really used to pray a whole lot before."
