The community of the Emmaus House is composed of people of diverse personalities, backgrounds, training and talents. But we have a common task: helping each other develop fully our potential service to God and others. This task can only be accomplished when all members work together. To develop such a community, we need God’s help. The Eucharistic Liturgy provides this. Since the Eucharist is the heart of Christian formation and strength, regular participation is expected of each resident.
Personal visitation-adoration of Christ in the Eucharist is a devotion rooted in the tradition of the Church and encouraged in the lives of the residents. Christ is the Lord of our house. He resides with us to strengthen our faith, encourage our hope, and motivate our love in action.
